Is it normal to happen?

You could put them wherever you wanted, as long as they fit the size of the piercing. see how it says 14 gauge, 16g, and whatever else gauge sizes there are? those are the size of the bar’s width. you should know what size your ears are before buying an earring, because you don’t want to buy one too big, because it won’t fit. and if you buy one too small, the hole might shrink.
