Why do some people get tattooes and pierced earrings all over their body? How do they view themselves?

I think they do all these stuffs because they are very insecure people, low self-esteem, no self-confidence, want attentions and etc… Don’t tell me it’s an art because that’s a b.s.

I can not say why all people get tattoos all over their body, I can just say why I do. Its a matter of owning my body to its fullest. Every inch I can control what color, pattern, shape is on it. I am a very intelligent, upper class white American. I do not hang with others who have as many tattoos as me, I go to church every Sunday. I am a wonderful mother, I do not have low self esteem, I have great self confidence, and I do not crave attention. American culture is changing..it is no longer just the rebel, convict, or biker gang member. It is the mom next door; when i am in a full business suit not one tattoo shows (that’s if my hair is down). So don’t be so quick to judge, you do not know all you are judging.
