why do people get body piercings

Why do people like a million piercings and look like total freaks?

People do not realize that getting your ear lobes tense, nose ring, pierced eyebrows, curly horns on their heads, so they themselves are doing their job? Do not these people ever seeking employment. I think even McDonald's could hire some of the monsters that I see. Why do people do to their bodies, and their employment prospects the future?

Personally, I'm all for "Do what you want" crowd to go crazy and enjoy. However, the issue is reflected in the opinion of the author and asked about employment prospects. I can tell you that I, that people manager would not hire someone who could not dress in good taste above all body art. For example, I once worked with a man who had tattoos on most of its body – but, deliberately placed so that a long-sleeved shirts, watches, rings and not allow them to be seen. facial piercings are not in front of me (eyebrows, nose, lips). As for the view – I think they look weird.

Why did you get your body piercings?

I have always wondered why people get certain piercings done.
I have my ear pierced I got it done because I thought it would look good, it was a sign of me taking control of my own choices (no one else could make me do it but me) , Rebellion, its different and makes me a little more unique.
Why did you get yours? Im very interested to hear from people with alternative piercings (eye brows, tongue, back, privates etc) and multiple piercings.
Were you not worried that you could permenantly damage the area you got pierced?

I want to get a Tattoo to symbolise/honour my brother who died soon after birth.

i had eyebrow done, after split with girlfriend. Maybee it was the pain, to take my mind off it, re invent myself, or fear i was becoming boring (age) and since, had my top ear done, belly and nip.
I think that about maxes it out for a guy, without being a goth, and the rings are all plain gold rings, small, so descreetly rebelious.
My kids have various piercings (depending on age) so its cool/wiered, that i have too, especially to them! they now cant do it to be rebellious, only cause it looks good, to them, and my eldest daughter, is always telling people……yer my dads got his done!
I got back with girlfriend too, and we now have toddler, so maybee a change, or a statement, does do people good, and unlike tatoos, i can take em out, when im 80 !
