Like, I’m getting a septum piercing for Christmas and I really don’t want a horse shoe ring or a retainer or whatever. I want like a solid ring in my nose. Not a cbr, either. Like, one with no balls or gaps or anything. Just…ring.
What is that type of ring called? Is there more than one kind?
And also, could I start with that? Or do I have to start with a retainer or horseshoe?

bar closure ring. it is like a cbr but with a short, straight bar instead of the ball, giving the appearance of a continuous ring. or a segment ring, which is the same except it is a curved bar instead of straight. I am pretty sure you could start with that as long as it is surgical grade stainless steel. The segment ring would move around more though so it might not be the best.
