too young for body piercings

I want my tongue pierced in a few weeks but I have not yet obtained permission from my parents. My mother is almost certainly say yes, but I have yet to convince my father. He thinks I'm too young to make decisions on piercings, because they may cause permanent injury to his body. My aunt has had her tongue pierced twice, and twice wonderfully healed. It will pay for my piercing and take me to get it. I have a list of advantages and disadvantages for the piercing. For all the drawbacks, however, I have a preventative measure if possible. what would you think is the appropriete age for a girl to get her belly button pierced, I’m goin to be 14 in 2 months and I thought maybe when I’m close to 15 I could get my belly buttton pierced, my mom said that i should wait til i’m 18, she said guys will think i want to have sex, I am too young for sex and I wanted to get my belly button pierced because I have been workin out gettin more thin and I think it is working, and I just wanted to reward myself because if i got my belly button pierced i thought that it would make me kinda feel better about myself (because my body would like great with one) it sounds weird but im weird lol

lol yeah, your mom is right, hun. belly button piercings do kinda have sexual undertones but i dont think you should have to wait til youre 16.

my opinion is, anything younger than 16 is trashy, so if i were you, i’d wait and keep working out and stuff until you turn 16 and ask your mom if you can have it for a sweet 16 bday gift. make her promise, even put it in writing if you have to, to let you do it on your sweet 16, that way you’ll stay motived to lose weight for the next two years and you wont slack or anything =]
