What are the effects of piercing?

It depends on what and where to get pierced. I love my piercing, and hope to get more.

Is this true? Can you go blind for a day?

I know someone who pierced their own bridge (piercing on the bridge of your nose, somewhat between the eyes) and he claimed to have gone blind for a day. Is that possible? To go blind for only a day? Can that part of your body even effect your eyes??

I know some types of epilepsy cause temporary blindness. As far as piercing the bridge of the nose, you would have to have some sort of infection and I don’t believe the blindness would be immediate in that case.
FYI the optic nerve does not run across the bridge of the nose
