I have many places and Peirce tattooed on my body, not of them has an infection or pain, however, my peircing last healed well and was about 12 months when it started to hurt all the time. Is not that a little redness or swelling, but it is very, very painful ….. friends suggested that maybe my body will reject the gold ring. …….. Has anyone had experience similar or that the sound problem, because that's what happens, not the body reject things such as drilling, even after a long period.?

As we age, do nose piercings stretch?

I’m almost seventeen, and I’ve liked how nose rings (little studs) look since I was about thirteen. My parents are generally conservative and won’t let me get anything else pierced beyond the three studs in my ears. They don’t know much about body piercings to begin with, but neither do I, so I’ve been doing a bit of research. My parents keep telling me that the hole from a nose piercing will stretch as I age and look bad. I’ve seen a few examples of this, but nothing that’s as bad as they describe. My parents also keep telling me that I’ll get a sinus infection, etc, etc. Never heard of this ocurring, but I suppose anything’s possible. Are there any websites you know of with reliable information on this, and can you tell me anything about this type of piercing?

It doesn’t make sense as to how a nose stud can stretch out as you age, not only is it small and lightweight (20g or 18g[slightly larger than a safety pin]) it is through firm cartilage (not that the piercing would hurt). I have seen dozens of people that have had their nose pierced and the scar left is just a pin prick sized indentation so unless you want to hang door locks from a nose ring it is unlikely to be a big deal when you get older. I hope you can get your piercing because I personally think they look good on girls
