tattoos and body piercings culture

How tattoos and piercings to define our pop culture?

Today they are regarded as one of two ways. They are considered acceptable for people with a good image that led to represent what they are, and your family. Or tattoos are considered as cyclists, and prisoners and have a negative image and people do not want to hire someone with a background like that. Piercings other hand are more accepted, because they can be withdrawn at any time and many people have them.

Have tattoos and body piercings only been popular since the early ’90s?

and btw i’m talking about modern times. i know certain cultures such as the Maori dug them hundreds and hundreds of years ago.
or can you attest to them being popular in the 80s or even before that? i do know that by 1997 they must have been popular because i wanted a tattoo because i thought they were badass lol. these days i just think they’re overdone.

tattoos go way way back
