What should I look for in a tatto/body place when I want to get my ear cartilage pierced?

ex.what things should i look for when i want to get my ear pierced
AND DOES IT HURT ALOT???

it doesn’t hurt if you go to a PROFESSIONAL piercing studio. Look up in the phonebook and call around, check to make sure the parlor you want to go to has CERTIFIED and LICENSED piercers with experience and ask their business hours, and randomly go to a couple of them and just look around, make SURE the place looks clean, and if you find a “clean” place and go to get pierced, MAKE SURE that the piercer opens a STERILE piercing kit which usually includes a pair of clamps, piercing needle, and the ring itself. before getting pierced ask if the parlor uses an AUTOCLAVE to clean its tools or if it just buys a new kit for every patient. DO NOT… DO NOT go to a parlor that DOES NOT show you a premade STERILE PACKAGE of piercing equipment or that doesn’t display its licenses and cerifications. Make sure you see iodine or another sterilizing gel or lotion that the piercer will use on your skin before piercing.
First appearnaces can be deveiving, a shop can “look” clean but they might not have an Autoclave or they might not have the proper cleaning equipment.
