Tattooing, piercing, but no category on LAUNCHcast A?
How is it that there is a category for tattoos on the skin and body, but there is no category for piercings, just enter "Other – Skin and body?" I just find it odd, is not yahoo? How * not * send a recommendation?
I sent my request for a recommendation or yahoo. I imagine that most of us, upon request, the sooner it will happen
Tongue pierced?
Kay, so I’ve been itching for a new piercing for quite some time now, and I’m kind of thinking about my tongue. I’ve looked at other piercings but for some reason I just keep coming back to that one. So I have a few questions…
Do you think it was worth it? [I've heard aftercare is a b!tch]
Pain-wise, what was it like?[if you could compare it to another piercing you have that'd be great]
Would you do it again if you lost the piercing?
And any other details you think would be helpful.
Currently I have about 13 holes in my body, so I’m not a stranger to piercings or the pain that comes with them.
I’m just kind of in the dark with this one.

[and for those of you who're thinking of criticizing me, don't waste your time. Hah because I sure as hell won't be wasting my time reading it. It's simple really- my body, my choice. Respect it.]
1: I’ve had my tongue pierced for about 2 years now. I can say, it didn’t hurt at all, just make sure to listen to the piercer because he will walk u step by step like breathing in and out when he pierces (if he doesn’t then take a deep breath before and when he is about to enter the need breathe out for your body to relax. then it wont hurt at all. only thing is you don’t want to flex your tongue muscle.
2: Healing process is easy as 1, 2, 3. Clean (with mouth wash diluted with water), use peroxal (a heeling agent used for open sores in the mouth, your piercer should tell you to use this, or else i would be a bit worried.), and then eat only liquid or soft foods (nothing that you have to chew!)
3: heeling takes about 2-4 weeks, very simple and easy. also if u smoke, my piercer told me not to and many pages and info say to just stay away from that because that will just make it get infected, but i guess if u have to just make sure to repeat step 1-2 in number 2.
4: and last your tongue WILL be swollen for about 2-7 days. try not to talk much cause you don’t want to bite your tongue. and suck on lots of ice, it will really help a lot.
