Piercing button is infected?

I have my belly giving way on Thursday, the Monday night and it is now very painful, dark red top and bottom of the hole and pink in the middle, there is also pus coming out, but I know it's normal to occur. Friday night was good. The reason I think this because in my sleep, Friday, in my dream that ripped and stuck like hell, yesterday I went to games and it hurt when the bars were found, so today is very painful and swollen. Im taking ibuprofen for inflammation and itching Herron Doryx (antibiotics) to infection with sea salt and warm water baths for Saturday three times a day afer antiseptic Ear piercing for the same substance used in body piercing. What can I do? I heard that it is cured with Bar closed as if the infection traps.

White = = pus cells in infections is not clear now that you should see a doctor and receive an antibiotic.

What to do if Belly Piercing has gone wrong?

The skin over my piercing has dried up and one morning when I woke up my piercing was missing and I was left with two bumps over my belly button. the skin fell off. I went to my piercer and he said to wait two weeks and come back for a free piercing. Although seeing how this went I don’t want to risk more trauma on my scar tissue. I did take good care of my piercing using antibacterial soap (Triclosen) twice a day and sea salt soaks. Could this be body rejection and What should I do with it now?

It sounds like your piercing rejected. ( see the pictures below of rejection). When clients come into the shop with rejected piercings its quite often because they changed the jewlery too early, played with it durring the healing process, or it got ripped a bit durring sports.

The best thing is not to wait 2 weeks, but to wait longer.(a few months sometimes, it depends on your scar tissue, I cant tell without seeing it) Once a piercing has rejected, the skin is damaged, and the scar tissue is weak. It sometimes is unable to support a piercing properly. If you get pierced through this skin right away, there is a very high risk of rejection. ( although some people have no problem, the risk is there)

A good idea is to wait untill the piercing hole is healed, and then start to put vitamin e oil on the area. Some people say that that helps speed up the process of scar tissue regeneration.

How were you taking care of your piercing? Were you rotating it when you cleaned it? I never tell people to do this, it can cause rejection. The best way to clean a piercing is sea salt soaks. ( and no rotation.) When you rotate a piercing you are forcing crust back inside the fistula ( skin tube). This scratches the inside of the fistula and can cause rejection. Not in everybody, but I’ve seen many situations.

Follow the below instructions for making a sea salt soak.(Its important that you measure!!!)

►Sea Salt Soak◄
1.Wash your hands with an anti-Bacterial or antimicrobial liquid Soap/Wash.
2.Use a disposable cup to mix your sea salt solution. Or clean your cup very well with the anti-bacterial soap.
3.Mix 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt to 8 oz of warm water. (Distilled water if possible)
4.Pour the solution into a small shot glass and tip it over onto your piercing. Fully saturate the piercing. Do this for 10 minuites once a day.
Do not rotate, twist it or turn the piercing.

Good Luck! And keep in mind that once a piercing rejects, it is always at risk for rejecting again, if it does reject again, you are at risk for worse scar tissue. If you are in that situation again. Do not wait untill the piercing’falls off’ you should take it out at the first sign of rejection. ( providing there is no infection). This will reduce the risk of having terrible scar tissue
