What is the opinion of everyone in the navel piercing a girl who is not perfectly sealed and well tonic .. but want to work, I have to wait until a healthy body before getting real?

Average number of cleanings per day for ear piercing?

I had my ears pierced when I was 13 & my gram toook care fo them & we both forgot EVERYTHING about it. Jan I got a VHC & I took eak good care fo it, it rarely hurt, but it was healed in like 4 or 5 weeks. (I know, bad idea but its done, I’m fine, & I don’t wana risk it again) Well I just got a new one on my right ear lobe & the lady said 3 clean 3 times a day & 1 additional if I get real sweaty. Well since I’ve been working full time & school full time I’ve basicaly been missing 1 cleaning a day & it hurts pretty decently afterward. (I do have a little travel cleaning thing). I was woundering how worried I should be? I know each body is different but should the after cleaning pain worry me? Is missing that 1 cleaning a day really that bad when every other piercing is twice a day anyway? I’m gona try to do better with it, but I just want to know if I should be worried.

You probably don’t need to be worried, you are cleaning it twice a day and that’s better than nothing. If you clean it more often it will speed up the healing process (but don’t over clean it as that will irritate it!). The fact that it is hurting after you clean it is because you had to move it around for the cleaning. I know it sucks but it is necessary. If it doesn’t start showing some signs of improvement after a couple of weeks, then switch to a different cleaning method, talk to a pharmacist or a doctor, you might have a bit of a ‘resistance’ towards certain antibacterial soaps or creams. I say this because bactine, usually recommended for these sorts of things, doesn’t work at all for me! I stick to the natural stuff, or some plain ole iodine and it works better than bactine. Like you said: every body is different, find out what works for yours.
