Why does my chest triggered a metal detector at Andrews Air Force Base?

I went to the air show today and had to go through metal detectors numerous. Well, each of them was, no jewelry, telephones, piercings, including boots with steel-toed. We found the cause after a soldier ran a metal detector rod through me. My chest felt like a fool! (No collar!) Even my boots are off, which, of course, had to be withdrawn. But man said: "This is really happening on I think it's solid!. "I was on the strip search me, but a sergeant recognized me and told me he was fine. But this is serious! Also, tried two other bar detectors and other detectors in length, all left in my chest. What causes it?
