This is a getting a tattoo a sin?

I want a small tattoo, but do not know why I said it a sin to get a piercing or tattoos.I already four ear piercings, but I do not know. And I'm Catholic. wat and im trying to fix mmoon and a star on the back

Not unless your church keeps the Law of Moses. It was a commandment to Israel & the Law was never given to the Gentiles. In fact, Corneilious’ house was where the Gentiles were first to be Baptized in the Holy Spirit, without keeping the Law. Peter said, I perceive God is no respecter of persons, in that the Gentiles have received the Holy Ghost, as we did in the beginning.” It probably is not a good idea though, with all the problems of “blood borne pathogens” around. I ended up having mine removed, as what was there was not suitable for Christian Folk to see. God Bless & avoid Churches that are “Law Keepers.”
