I’m having surgery and I need to remove my body piercing. It is a hoop with a ball. I tried twisting the ball but it doesn’t come off. You have to open both sides of your ring and the ball will fall out (the ball has two dimples on each size to hold in under the pressure) A scissor can help open the ring, but it;s best if you have a latex glove on to tighten the grip. Your piercer should also open it for you for free, and you might also want to look for a retainer to wear during the surgery if you’re afraid the hole will close up fast.
