How can I hide a lip piercing?
My parents are old school and are very strict about piercings, crazy hair, and that sort of thing. IM 17 years and I want to pierce their lips. Is it possible, I would be able to hide it?
his face is almost always visible, So unless you want to convert to Islam, and when a hijab how you hide your face in the first place. Part unless the inside of the lip
How can I convice my mom to let me get a Lip Piercing?
Her and my older sister(that’s 29) both think that if I get 1 piercing that’s not on my ear, i’m going to go crazy and be like those “freaks,” which they call, with piercings all over my body. Please, I’m not going to have those pierced. Just a simple lip piercing. It’s so annoying how they always ask me, “your never gonna get a tattoo right? or a piercing that’s not on your ear, right?” they’ve always asked me that and people change. I just know I’m never going to get something I regret. I really think about things. I’m not getting any tattoos either. Just want a lip piercing. Simple as that. Anyway I can talk to them and convincing? Thanks.
In all honesty, it’s not the best plan, sweetie.
All people will look at is that thing in your lip, and wonder if it hurts, if it gets in the way when you try to eat, and what you were thinking when you did it. No one outside of the pierced community will take you seriously, because you’ll look like a rebellious teenager who wants to stick it in her parent’s ear or something.
Here’s the deal: You can’t convince them to LIKE the idea, any more than they can convince you to NOT like it.
While you are living under your mom’s roof and for as long as she is responsible for you, you have to abide by her rules. Even after you turn 18. You don’t magically transform into an adult at the stroke of midnight on your 18th birthday. You become an adult when you pay for your own roof over your head, your own food, your own car payment and insurance/gas/maintenance on said car, for your own phone/power/internet/cable, your own clothes, your own entertainment and the doctor when you’re sick. When you’ve moved out and are paying for all that stuff on your own, THEN you can pierce your lip or wherever you like … but not before. Until then, you have to show your mom respect, and live under her rules.
Personally, I would rather you get each nipple pierced, your belly button, wherever else EXCEPT your face, and color your hair purple before I would allow a piercing on your face. Tattoos are fine, too, as long as they’re discreet and done well, and are of something that is meaningful. I never understood the appeal of eyebrow, lip and cheek piercings. Nose, I get. I think a small jeweled stud or a dainty nose ring is very nice … but lips and everything else? Not so much. Also, just so you know. I’m not anti-piercing. I’m anti anything that will get you looked at funny, and that will make people not listen to what you’re saying and not take you seriously.
Yes, I know that we’re supposed to see what’s inside … but the simple truth is this: You get ONE CHANCE to make a good impression on someone for the first time. ONE chance!! Why mess it up because you’ve got this … thing … in your lip?
This is my view.
