Why do girls not like me for who I am?

I am 5′11” and 255 pounds. I am a body builder who loves to stay fit and active. I don’t have really a lot of fat on me, I am toned and really good looking. I go to church twice a week and go to school full time. I have a very caring heart and sometimes I seem like I am a little bit to sensitive. I compliment other girls for how nice they look no matter what they look like, because I know that girls are very specially created and they like to hear that a guy notices them every once in a while. I am not asking for miss beaty queen or anything like that, but I would like to find a girl that is attractive to me and likes things that I like. Why is it that girls seem to pass me up for stupid idiotic guys that don’t care for any more than their bodies. Why are guys that have tattoos all over and piercing in places that I don’t want to mention have girls. What do they have that I don’t. I am very traditional, and would like to meet someone? What do you think I should do differently?

You need to stay true to the wonderful person that God made you to be. You have what my husband calls “nice guy syndrome”–where all the nice girls appear to be chasing the bad boys. Don’t worry about it too much–realize that those who are interested in the jerks are still girls. You want a woman in your life, not a girl. Be patient and wait for the one that God will lead you to. Believe me, she may come from somewhere you would never have guessed. I never guessed that my husband would be some guy that I met during freshman orientation at my college, but he is.

I don’t think you should do anything differently–except maybe not sound so smug about what a “great catch” you are. Keep in mind that if you think you are “all that and a bag of chips,” many girls won’t. God will lead you to the right person at the right time, trust me.
