when I can change my tongue piercing to a short bar?

which is 3 weeks from tomorrow, I have my tongue pierced and I was drilling for a short bar into tomorrow, but I wonder if it is safe or if I should wait another week? theres no pain, not only a lisp boring na swelling b / c of the long bar lol I also bought some short bars of the trademark "body jewelry rage Spencer Gifts, if you know this brand is safe to use? or should I get my ^ Thank punch bars – ^

With Spencers Body Jewelry?

and all i have is a set of 16g circulars from spencers,
if i boil them to get them sterile will it be alright??
(i am asking about the jewelry, is spencers (body rage) ok?)

First of all boiling does NOT sterilize anything, and since Spencer’s sells cheap jewelry there’s a good chance it’ll melt if it’s plastic, which you shouldn’t be using in a fresh healing piercing anyway. Not to mention if you don’t have a 16g needle (and yeah, sewing needles are not 16g) you won’t be able to get the jewelry in or if you do you’ll cause huge amounts of damage to the tissue.
