I had sepsis, when I was young to die. My parents told me if I have piercings that could be in danger because of that, nobody knows if this is true, I always wanted my ears pierced but I'm afraid.

Why risk?

are piercings and tattoos ok for the fashion business?

i want to be in the fashion business when i grow up
i want to be either a designer, stylist, buyer, illustrator, anything like that, or maybe even work behind scenes for fashion shows
i have some piercings now and my ears stretched, but my ears are hidden by my hair but only one of piercings can be hidden.
i dont have any tattoos now but i plan on some along with more piercings in the future
i was wondering if these type of things effect my chances of a career in fashion, because i know that fashion has a very alternative side, but also a very classy side.
please dont bash on body mods, i have nothing thats permanent, thats why im asking now before its too late

Are you kidding? Of course piercing and tattoos are accepted in the fashion business. I’d say that most designers are tattooed, and body modification is often associated with creative types.
Heck, I work in a conservative technical field as an engineer and I’m covered in tattoos and have 1 5/8 inch stretched ears, and if it’s not a problem for me, it certainly won’t be for you.
