What are the guidelines with piercings and tattoos, while a paramedic in the United Kingdom?

Hey Iam hoping to become a starting point IAM College paramedics and I to volunteer in the college courses that will probably be in a hospital, I wondered what I 'll have to shed light pierced my volunteer work and what are the guidelines of piercings and tattoos in an ambulance, but hoping to enjoy AMI This election AMI career also eager body modification, obviously, IAM is not over, but I just curios.

hiya worked in other areas of the NHS, I guess the rules are quite similar – no visible tattoos (and sleeves, however short, but not the face, arms, etc.), and as piercings – nothing that we can take! SO (other than standard earplugs usually) no body or facial piercings would be visible when the exit of turn – Unfortunately, people do occasionally attack ambulance, and do not want to hurt

General anesthetic and what to do beforehand?

Ok I’m having surgery in a couple of weeks and I just wanted to get some information about what to do on the day .

I’m having a general anesthetic , the one where I’m not awake . They said don’t wear make up which is obvious. But that’s all they said. Last time I had surgery they told me to not wear make up, to take all piercings out and not have any metal on me including hair ties. And no nail polish or acrylic nails either. It was body surgery last time not on my face. This time I’m having surgery on my face so is it necessary to take out my belly button piercing ? I just assumed it was ok because they didn’t say anything , also will I be able to go in with my clothes on and not their hospital robes since it’s on my face ?

Your answers will be greatly appreciated

You should leave all jewelry at home, remember to not eat or drink anything after midnight (to avoid nausea), and if you have contacts don’t wear them. You will still have to wear the hospital gown so that the surgery team has access to your body to monitor your heart rate and in case there is an emergency. You never know with surgery so it is always better to err on the side of caution.
