Piercings and other metal objects!?

it's a bit crazy but if you have a belly ring of metal or pending, or supports means always beep when u go through airport security?

I recently returned from Turkey, we were asked to remove belts and bracelets and heavy chains. I have a belly ring and earrings and had to go through customs in Turkey beep on exit, but for some reason he did on the way home. I think this is just luck sometimes.

is this against the law or is it procedure?

I was at the airport going though security They had me take off my shoes and rings ect. I went to walk though the detectors and they went off they asked me if i Had and piercings i said no they had me go though another same thing. Now I was nervous and sweating they took a wand and scanted me and it still went off I was then taken to a room where I had to take off all my clothes and get a very embarrassing search done.
I thought to have a physical exam of the body’s orifices had to have a medical personnel?
is there any thing I can do?
I am a 22 year old female that lives in South Carolina
the braces on my teeth set them off
or my bra is what they said

okay so you striped in front of people and got some fingers in bad places walk it off there is nothing you can do.
