How to pierce your own tongue?

I need to know a detailed summary of the procedure for piercing your own tongue.
I’m aware of the risks. So please dont tell me not to do it.
I like to think im semi-experienced as i’ve pierced nipples, septums, ears, lips, tongue webs, etc.
I’m an aspiring body artist, and I need the practice, and i’d feel more comfortable piercing myself.
So yeah, If anyone can give me any information at all, or links to sites that have this information, please, can you lend a hand?

i’m trying to minimise the risk of me screwing up by asking a community that contains professional and experienced piercers who know more than me on the subject.
Duh.

Just make sure you don’t hit the two main arteries that run through the tongue, you could bleed to death. If you are going to try piercing something on yourself I would start with something not so dangerous.
Even professional piercers (at least the ones that I know) don’t tend to pierce themselves, it’s hard to get it totally straight when you are doing it on yourself.

If you must do it yourself then make sure you know where those arteries are, mark your tongue, clamp it and then pierce. Make sure you have access to a phone and a car though, just in case you need to make a trip to the ER.
