How to become a professional body piercer?
So, I’m 16, still at school in Scotland in 5th year, but I think I’ve made me decision to leave at Christmas time, I guess school just isn’t for everyone and it definitely isn’t for me at all. I want to leave and start to do something I enjoy, I’m really interested in becoming a professional body piercer and there is a tattoo/piercing shop near me that I could ask for some work experience and training, but I’m just not exactly sure how to go about all of this.
I’d just like to know, if there’s anyone out there that’s in my situation and has worked something out, or someone who has experience in this field and can help me on my way!
Any responses would be greatly, greatly appreciated as I’d like to know as much as possible about how to get into this field of work!

im in exactly the same boat as you as im in college (just to hold off for a while and im doing something i hate its just to please my parents as they don’t know i want to be a body piercer) and i want to be a body piercer so what im doing is asking around at all of my local shops and if the say sorry no not till your 18 then i asked do they know any were i could try
ive applied for a job at Claire’s as a start (even though they only do ears and are fairly bad but its a start until i get to other piercing shops) ive also been looking at professional piercing schools that my piercers said to try and have found a few but none in scotland sorry only in england unless your willing to travel
i have asked one of my piercing shops and she has said shell try and get me trained but if she can i have to work with her daughter as her daughter wants to be trained as well
so ask around and try
