not safe to enter any place with a pin! you can get this piercing heavily infected the piercing. if you want a piercing so bad go to a professional.

Should I pierce my cartilage with a stud or safety pin?

I’m 14 and my mom won’t take me to get my cartilage pierced. So I’m gonna pierce it myself. Don’t tell me go to get it professionally done cause or I’m gonna get an infection cause I’m not gonna listen. People in forgein countries pierce their bodies all the time. The stud seems to hurt less when I poke my ear.

You need a piercing needle. It’s just easier to push the jewelry through with one, and plus it’s much safer. Just put some ice on it and push the needle through wherever you want it to be. Ear piercings are really easy to do, surface piercings are the hard ones that you REALLY should not attempt. I pierced my own sternum and now i have a scar. But really you should be fine if it’s just your ear.
