Are you allowed to have the metal rings and lip piercing still in your body while you are getting an x-ray?
It I have x-my legs and I got my lip piercing. It is difficult to remove and I wonder if I have to move or if I can leave it in the movie.
Although the jewels are not in the area of interest, there is no reason to remove from a radiograph. For example, if you are an X-ray chest, ask you to remove nipple piercings or a necklace. Earrings, bracelets, belly button rings, genital piercings and facial piercings are not visible in the image, so that may remain in the patient. Where appropriate, the head is all to create an image of X-rays of his legs, there therefore no reason to remove one of their piercings.
Body piercing…?
Is it possible for a piercing to start migrating after you’ve had it for 7 years?
I got my belly buttong pierced 7 years ago. When it healed, I change the jewelery and put one of those rings curve towards each other but the 2 ends don’t meet. I’ve never had any problems with anything.
Well, the other day, I noticed that right underneath the top part of the ring, my skin was bright red and kind of indented. I took the jewelery out and cleaned everything. I haven’t put the jewelery back in yet.
I’m just wondering if it’s just a sore or if the jewelery was migrating. I didn’t notice anything different when I took the jewelery out. No blood or anything.
Any ideas?
I’ve been cleaning it and treating it as a new piercing since I noticed this.
I have had mine for many years too. It will act up from time to time. Just keep taking care of it like you have been and it should be fine in a few days.
