Rejected navel piercing

My four years began to reject the months piercing, I can see the bar through the skin. I went to a piercing studio, and two of its drilling advised me to leave the ring to develop naturally, rather than eliminate it. I read on rejection of the drilling sites of body modification, particularly the elimination of the ring is recommended. Then I can get some advice on this?

if you leave jewelry and let it continue to reject, will be painful and leave an unsightly scar. I can not believe that the drillers said the same leave it in Pull it out and let the area heal. likely will always be a scar, but not as bad as if you let your body is completely force

Navel piercing rejection question?

I had my navel pierced last August, and in December it rejected. I kept up with my piercer, it never got infected, and my piercer said it was just the way my navel was shaped that caused it to reject. I have had it checked since by 3 different piercers about getting it redone, and have gotten 3 different opinions on it so looking for more.

One piercer said that I could get it redone with the same gage, just deeper behind the scar tissue. One suggested using a bigger gage to avoid the same thing happening again. Another told me not to redo it because he felt the shape of my body would just reject it again. I am curious if other people have gotten redone after rejection, and what their experience was like? It didn’t migrate almost at all, just all of the sudden it started to push out, and there was nothing I could do about it. Any suggestions/stories are welcome, thanks!!

I would NOT get it redone. Your body will reject it again! I know this because it happened to my friend TWICE ):

Sorry about that.
