Rejection is very, very common with surface piercings. You can use custom made surface bars to help, but in general surface piercings should be considered temporary. Navels aren’t a huge problem as long as there’s proper placement. In the event it does reject, you can do it again and the second time around there will be scar tissue which will help anchor the piercing in place.
