UK law regarding body piercings in the workplace?
basicly i was wondering what laws there are about body piercings in the workplace? if you are allowed to be ‘discriminated’ against for having them, if you already have a job then get a piercing what can happen, etc…
Is there a government page on this matter?

Companies are allowed to have dress codes and visible piercings fall under that category. You have to be able to maintain the proper professional appearance for the station that you are at or the company does have the right to not hire you. I’m sure there is something similar for people who change their appearance after they get the job but I don’t know what that is.
No it’s not discrimination as it is something that is truly your choice and not something that you were born with. It also includes dying hair color to a non-natural color and tattoos.
