I need to get my body jewelry for a scanner?

Im having a TAC is thursady, and I was wondering if I do to make my navel piercing for that or if it would be OK to leave in.

If the CT of his chest, abdomen or pelvis, and then asked to remove all jewelry belly. If the CT of the head – he can remain in (if you will be asked to remove earrings) I hope all is well!

will i have to take out my body jewelery for a CT scan?

Im having a CAT scan this thursady, and i was just wondering if i would have to take out my belly button piercing for it, or if it would be okay to leave it in.

If you are having a CT scan of your abdomen and pelvis, you should remove a naval ring. If you are having a CT of your brain or chest, a naval ring will not interfere with the study. The radiologist who interprets your study will not confuse body jewelry for pathology. But, body jewelry will create an artifact which could potentially hide pathology. A CT scan is a type of x-ray examination, and for both types of studies, all types of metal should be removed when they are in the area of interest (ie, dentures taken out for a CT of the brain, necklace taken off for chest x-ray, zippered pants removed for back x-rays etc).
