I have a pierced navel, which does not seem to heal?

I have to do on December 31. I cleaned everything the time I had, but do not seem want to heal. Is my body just rejects? And just to make sure and let it heal more? I am sure is not infected.

Maybe I should go see a doctor?

Body piercing question?

I just got my belly button pierced about 5 days ago. I’ve been cleaning it everyday 4-6 times a day. I just want to know how long it takes till it wont hurt at all even if i bump into it. also its a little red right around the earring or jewelry, i suspect that it is normal for it to be a little red but how long will the redness last and is there anything extra i can do to heal it as soon as possible besides cleaning whenever possible, and of course i know it takes 6-9 weeks to perfectly heal but when will it stop hurting even if i do bump it or something?
the tattoo shop i got it done at told me to clean it 6 times a day

Cut the cleaning down to 2-3 times a day. 4-6 is overcleaning and will cause you issues. Try to do 1-2 daily sea salt soaks. Cleaning with soap is okay, but make sure it’s a mild antibacterial/antimicrobial unscented soap. Once a day in the shower with soap is fine.

Piercings heal from the ouside in, so the redness will go away before the WHOLE piercing is healed. And navels takes up to a year or longer to heal, actually.

EDIT–Take a look at the seconds link I provided. It’s the Association of Professional Piercers’ [APPs'] aftercare guidelines.
