Best metals to avoid allergic reaction to a navel piercing?
I did my navel piercing in august 2010. But then it got infected 4 months later. The doctor said I’m either allergic to the surgical metal or my body doesn’t let me use those types of piercing, but I think it’s the surgical metal.
Well it has been 7 months with out a navel piercing and I think I’m ready to get another one. But when i went to Fort Myers a guy who sells them told me is that I am most likely to be allergic to that metal but I am most probably not allergic to Titanium. Because I told him that I have to wear either gold or while gold 14k and up but he said that Titanium is much better and cheaper for me.
Now my parents don’t trust what the guy said and they also think I’m not ready to pierce it again cause its going to get infected again.
So please tell me if I am ready to get a navel piercing again and that Titanium is the best one for me to prove my parents.
