T get your tragus pierced hurt as bad as they say?

I really want to get my tragus pierced, but I'm not sure if the chicken to id or not. I think he is so cute and asked those who have or have had, if it hurts badly? and how long will it take? I had my navel pierced two times, the first time I was in a fucking unprofessional and then the second time I went to this place called development and drilling is wonderful, but my body rejected after a few months so I havent gotten back to. He suffered really bad by my navel again because of the scar the first time. Anyway, he is drinking more or less the same as pain or less?

Whats it all about? Years ago we used to be fascinated & piss taking out of people in places like Africa who had great long necks with loads of rings round it & huge discs in holes in ear lobes & lips etc……Now we appear to be doing the same thing! Is that evolution?
