tretinoin (Brand names Retin-A and Renova) and triamcinolone (Kenalog). Both are on order but have only been found to be effective against certain types of scars. Your doctor may also inject small amounts of collagen also noted. Best of: luck me! D could not even
Does ear piercing interfere with acupuncture meridians?
I read an article that said you have to be careful when ear piercing that you do not upset the body’s acupuncture meridians.
I never thought about your point, but now that I do, it seems reasonable. I would have to ask someone to get the “correct answer” but based off of what I know, here are the relevant points I can give you.
When the stuff was originally developed, people did very minor piercings, such as just the one in the bottom of the ear for earings (which doesn’t over lap with anything). Since then, much more expansive piercings have started coming along which go into places that were previously left alone, and possibly hitting meridians. Chinese medicine has a massive bias against doing abnormal actions, so it is quite possible that piercings beyond normal bottom of ear one would fall under this category, and have random consequences such as messing up the ear channels.
The ear points, and ear accupucture are more used as gateways to tap into the entire body network, rather than main channels, so messing something up in there is not super significant (whereas directly cutting your central channel, such as in a spinal fusion pretty much f***s you for life).
I do however know that if you wear a watch on your wrist, that can cause problems (especially if the correct frequency is in it), since it gets on a main meridian line, and disrupts it. This is a hard point to explain to people, but when you find and applicable case and have them remove the watch, they notice a huge difference.
So yea, honestly, I’m not sure, but it’s a really good point to make. I would err on the side of caution, but it might be best to ask a good chinese doctor. Hope this helps! You gave me something good to ask about ![]()
