I like things like Harry Potter and all this by Tamora Pierce, or even travel books out:)

Xanth series by Piers Anthony, beginning with a spell chameleon. Very happy fantasy fun, imagination and light.

Help Please! Ear Piercing!?

I REALLY want to get my ears pierced, but I’m too afraid to do it. I know it will hurt for about 1 second, but my body won’t let me! Can any of you either make a suggestion or whatever? Oh yes, and please do not make fun of me, since i bet you all think I am a teen. WRONG. I am 9.
So yeah. HELP ME!

I got mine done when I was 13.
It took me YEARS to work up the courage to get them done!
I seriously started hyperventilating and freaking out the day I went to go get them done.
I got this cream that numbs your skin from my doctor to calm my nerves a little but it didn’t work very well- I was still going crazy!

The piercer took me into the room, sat me down and put little marker dots on my ears. Then she was like “ready?!” and one ear was done.
I wouldn’t have known it was peirced if I didn’t hear the little click of the backing going on.
I couldn’t feel any pain at all!
It felt a little warm to the touch but that was IT!

It was so simple it shocks me how much of a chicken I was!

Don’t worry sweetie, its the simplist thing ever, and earrings are my favourite piece of jewellery now!

The way I did it so I wouldn’t chicken out is I bought a pair of earrings I REALLY loved a week before I went. I stared at them every night and imagined the outfits I’d put them with If I chickened out, no pretty earrings for after they’ve healed!
