How do you sterilize sterling silver jewelry safe?

I recently bought an old used silver whistle. It is 100 years old and was used by the previous owner (s). I put the whistle in his mouth and use it often. I know that money is inherently anti-microbial, but not I count on when I'm having in mind that this is something that goes in my mouth. Also, do not want to pay to use an expensive machine for jewelry is autoclave body or something like that. And I keep the brightness of my money and do not want it be damaged during cleaning and sterilization.

Well, I'm in the medical field (nurse), you can still use alcohol Friction old standby, you can let it soak for a while, if she needs money for cleaning, toothpaste works great though! GOOD LUCK AT YA!

Bleach question?

I read that you can use bleach to sterilize body jewelry, but I forget if you’re supposed to rinse it with distilled water after soaking or not. Does anyone else know?

P.S. I know that autoclaves are better, but I am only curious about the Bleaching method so please do not reply if you’re going to tell me I should use an autoclave instead.

bleach is not a good idea, you should use peroxide or rubbing alcohol and then rinse it real good.
