My friend was told her son was shot and she can’t find out where he is.?

The police came to my friends house at 2 am Sunday morning June 13 2010 and told her that her son had been shot in the head and died at Cowboys Restaurant. She was very distraught and says they did not give her any information. She doesn’t know where his body is and which Cowboy’s it happened at. What should she do? I have looked in the local news and several surrounding counties and have not seen any articles about it. This young man served two terms in Iraq and if he has been killed she needs to know where his body is and what to do next. She doesn’t even know what county this happened in as she has moved from our area but we think it happened in Fort Pierce FL. If anyone knows what to do or knows anything about it please help. I know that it’s a long shot that anyone would know anything but you never know. Thank you very much.

Clearly his body will be in control of the Coroner’s office. It’s as easy as calling the Coroner’s office.

And if she really doesn’t know what police department came to her house, have her call her local police, as any cop out of their jurisdiction must report to the local police any official business with citizens under their jurisdiction. Don’t be looking in the newspaper to find stuff such as this.

They should have given her a card and she might have misplaced it from the stress. The guy assigned to deliver the info is the one assigned to take care of her questions.
