act body piercing

My nine year old daughter acts a bit old for her age, but I am told is just a phase?
I wonder if anyone has experienced this kind situation. My daughter, age 9, came later that evening at home with a pierced navel. I have not given permission to do so. She had her friends help to enter their homes. I told him I thought it was ridiculous that a girl who did not even have their period even have a piercing! She anger against me and called me f —- b-tch ING and stormed into his room. I'll let the evil spirits. I just noticed that it is trying to act like a teenager and at first I was a little nervous, but I was talking to a man on the train today on my way to work said it was just a phase. Do you think that? Your daughter to this kind of thing? I mean, I know I can not think like an old fart in the way whose daughters when they were a kid, I consider myself rather hip. But just give me a bad impression, do not know.

Is body piercing a culture or subculture?
I’m not sure whether it is a culture or subculture, or probably just an act of certain culture. Just want to know where it belongs to. Thank you for your informations.
Within America, its considered a subculture, being that a subculture exists within the confines of a larger, homogeneous community. There are norms and laws all Americans generally live by and that is our shared culture. Body piercers do their practices within that shared culture and is therefore a sub-culture.
